Art One - more prints

Below are more examples of block prints.  What do you notice about the process of the artist?  Which ones are more/less successful and why?

  4. The artists really shows the contrast with different areas of the pictures. I think that the pictures that has different types of strokes and uses a variety of the linoleum tips (the carving edges, like #1, 2, 3, and 4) are the more successful ones.

  5. The people's that cut strokes in different directions to produce different objects look amazing! My favorite is the Church thing in the sunflower field!

  8. These are all very detailed, which makes the print turn out better. I like the one with the sunflowers because of the small strokes the artist made to complete the piece.

  10. the artists took a lot of time on these. they obviously had a lot of skill and patience. i like the 2nd one the most because it has a lot of detail and looks the most interesting

  12. All of these have detail but I think the carving of the man and sunflowers were most successful because it seems like the artist took a lot of time to make it detailed.

  13. all of them look really good but my favorite are the ones that have the most detail like the town. all of them seem that they would have taken a lot longer than ours

  14. All of the carvings are really cool but my favorite is the one with the sunflowers. It has a lot more intricate details than the other ones.

  24. All of the cutouts are very precise, detaied, and organized with clean cuts. My favorite one is the sunflower.
