The last day to work on your free form coil pot is this Friday. Begin thinking about glazing. What color will you use? Will the inside be the same color or a different color? You can also use more than one color. What's the plan?
I think the Tahitian Blue would look great on the top texturized part of my pot and possibly on the inside, with that brown glaze that has the blue crystals on the outside, with the blue dripping down on it. -Elizabeth Smith
I plan to paint the leaf and the "dips" in on my pot bright green. I want the green on top to fade into brown that will cover the outside. It will give the impression that life is trying to slowly emerge from the depth of my pot. I will probably have to paint the inside (sandy- brown color) to keep uniformity thoroughout.
I think I want to do a lighter color on the outside of my pot like a pretty blue or green color. I would like to have a glaze on the outside with the crystals. On the inside, I'm thinking about painting it a darker color which would make a good contrast with the light glaze. -Mikayla Mobley
I was thinking of doing a dark glossy color for the inside of my pot. I'd really like to do a cool design on the outside, but I don't really know how to make designs with glaze. Oh well, I'll think of something. -Hannah Colquitt
I think that i will use solid black for the entire pot, but i will have some sort of gold and red mixture for the top part of the pot at the two openings and around the spikes as well. -Landon Newberry
I want to glaze with the brightest colors we have and have a different color for the inside that's maybe brighter than the one I use on the outside. I want it to look like coral.
I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do about the glaze. I do think I'm going to paint it differently depending on the texture of the pot, but we will see. -Paul
the inside of my pot is very hard to see, so I may just use the clear glaze. As for the outside, I want to use something dark to go with the elephant theme. However, I really like the idea of using different glazes throughout the pot. Maybe I could even use the glaze to make an ombre effect. - Sarah Andrews
