The fact that Mexicans celebrate the day of the dead is creepy to me. They turn death into a whole festival and make creepy masks which is strange to me.
I think Dia de los Muertes is a pretty awesome holiday. Its not celebrating deaths but rather the life that the people lived. Its like honoring their ancestors and showing respect to those who passed.
I think it is cool that the Mexican Civilization has a tradition/festival that is pretty unique. Not many other cultures celebrate the passing of their loved ones like this. -Kevin Moreau
I think El Día de los Muertos is such a unique holiday because it reminds people to not forget about their loved ones who have passed and actually honor their relatives' lives.

I think the day of the dead festival is beyond cool. I remember learning about it in Spanish in 10th grade and the holiday is so memorable to me. It's a celebration of those who have passed. Instead of mourning, they celebrate and prepare special foods. So awesome.-Brianna Fleming
