So..... what's the plan for your big coil pot?  Describe what your plan is for the rest of your pot.  What will the top look like? How do you think you will glaze it?

  1. my plan is to move the top half of my pot around in tall unique shape. While the rest of my pot on the side will remain open, the top part will allow the pot to have a unique form. I haven't thought much on glazing but it will probably be a really dark color that i will lean towards to.

  2. I'm going to keep it undulating as it has been and separate out even more protrusions. The top will be closed off because I don't really want to smooth the inside of it. I'm not sure how I'll glaze it yet. It depends on what the finished product looks like.

  3. My plan is to build my pot as high as I can and make it taller than 1 foot. The top will come out a little and lean over. I'm not sure how I want to glaze it yet, but I will eventually put a cool glaze on it. -Mikayla

  4. My plan is for the pot to twist slightly as it goes upward. Hopefully, it will have 2 to 4 different openings once I'm finished. -Hannah Colquitt

  5. Right now, the plan is to have my pot lean to one side as it gradually gets taller. Somewhere a long the way I want to begin closing it up because it is getting so big! But really, the only thing I can do is let the clay tell me what to do...:)

  6. My plan is to keep building up the columns and then when they get to the top have them lean together with smaller openings. I want to glaze is using colors that resemble a coral reef, but have them dripping down the pot.

  7. I want my pot to flare and twist around slightly and have a wider opening than the base. I think one of the glazes with crystals would look really cool with the shape of my pot.

  8. My plan is to bring in the top of my pot and have the opening centered to the right with the folds being in the front. I loved the glaze i used last time (peacock green) but I think I will use either a darker blue or grey or something else that would represent the "elephant" shape that my pot started as.

  11. I want to make my pot come back together in the middle as it continues to get higher. I want to glaze it in a glaze with crystals so when the crystals pop it will look cool along the sides.

  12. I plan on glazing my pot a blackish blue color, and not making it any bigger just smoothing it out and making it look neat.
