Mail art (also known as postal art and correspondence art) is a populist artistic movement centered on sending small scale works through the postal service. It initially developed out of the Fluxus movement in the 1950s and 60s, though it has since developed into a global movement that continues to the present.
We will be creating our own mail art pieces. I have mailed you instructions with some examples but see these below. What are your thoughts about this process?

I think this is going to be a fun process. Making collages is very interesting to me. I like the second picture because it has so many different places and things that resemble that place.
ReplyDeleteI think that it will be fun to make one of these. I like the first because of how the lines of paper really draw your eyes to them.
ReplyDeleteI really like the thought of sending little art pieces through the mail so I think this will be a fun and different project. I like the third one because it looks like it includes many different destinations which is an interesting way to document where you have been in an artistic way.
