Some of us will begin a landscape painting as a group. Look at these landscape paintings by Vincent van Gogh. How are they different than the paintings you are working on now or just finished?

These picture are much more realistic than the fauvist paintings I'm doing. While this too is expressive, it's not expressive in the color aspect. Every thing he painted is what the thing would look like if we really saw it in real life. My painting has blue cherry blossoms and a pale green mountain, so how much more different can you get?
