Ceramics - Red/Black Figure Greek vases - blog 5

Follow the link below to find out more about red and black figure Greek pottery.  During the firing process and if oxidation (smoke) occurs, the smoke can turn the unglazed portions of the pot black.

  1. I think that the red and black firing is really cool. If you didn't glaze the pot well enough, then it will still look good, since the unfired cIay will be black

  11. i think the black gives the pot a neat look, but i feel like this could be messed up very easily and and thing that messes up easy is not for me.
