  2. These prints show lots of detail and emotion, even though all the artist did to make the picture was cut. Kollwitz was very precise with her work, which allowed a somewhat simple art form to still convey a powerful message.

  5. These prints show a lot of sadness. The detail and the darkness they left in the print shows the darkness of the holocaust.

  6. These pieces remind me of the silhouette pieces that we did inspired by a woman who did silhouette pieces that were enchanting to look at but, what is actually shown is quite gruesome. These pieces are as beautiful as they are haunting.

  7. To add on to my previous statement, these pieces are lachrymose. They give me the greatest sense of sorrow and dysphoria.

  8. The pieces are very emotional and very thought out. It reminds me of the silhouettes we just did ourselves. Even though they are in black and white they still show emotion and have a message behind them. Just like Ms. Walkers work did.

  10. I think Kathe completely depicts all of the raw emotions and feelings of the Holocaust. Specifically in these prints she is getting the emotional side and sorrow of what these people are going through.

  11. These pictures haunt me slightly. They're very well executed but so much that the emotion in the pictures looms over me. It's sad and afraid.

  12. They are very detailed and have lots of emotions that are shown into the works and have lots of time that were spent into making them. My favorite would be the second one because it shows the love in the family. -Gabby Bosse
