VALUE - the degree of lightness on a scale from black to white
We will be creating the ILLUSION of space using pencil. We will move on to graphite to learn how to shade and create the illusion of 3-dimensional forms.
I have always been intrested in these types of drawings and have tried to do them myself. They never looked right or 3D so that makes me so exited to be able to learn how to do this. -Brady Roper
I find the second one to be very helpful in teaching first-time learners about the different aspects of shading a drawing. The third one is also fascinating in its "Still Life" qualities, almost as if it is an homage to that kind of style.
My mom has a ton of her drawings like this all around our house and I've always been so interested in the depth that you can create. I am so excited to study these in class and learn ways to make my own drawings such as these to be even better.
This three dimensional art is something that I have always wanted to be able to do but could never figure out. I'm glad we are going to be learning how to do it.

Genometric Shapes are like a 3D image that makes your paper look alive and almost as if you can grab it? I am so excited about drawing these because they look very real!
3D images have always seemed really cool because the shape seems to pop from the paper. 3D images are the building blocks for drawing realistic pictures like buildings.

This has always been very interesting to me, because creating the appearance of something 3-D when in reality it is 2-D blows my mind. I like the third image because of the "shadow" from the cone on the cube.

3D art is one of the best looking art in my opinion because it has such a realistic effect. The shading effect looks very difficult to do but it also makes it very interesting.
