Art Two - Passion Paintings

What have you thought of the process that we are using with the Q-tips and dots?  How does this affect your attitude toward painting in general and color mixing more specifically?

  1. i really like it because its different than regular painting. i like that you can use so many different colors and values and it still be recognized as one color.

  2. I like the idea of dot painting. I think that by adding random colors it makes the area look sharper and not too blended together and mucky. Also by having other colors in an area that is dominantly another it makes the painting more interesting and adds detail.

  3. I really enjoyed the idea of dot painting. It took me some time to understand fully what i was supposed to do, however, when I understood how to switch the colors and make the dots complement each other, the final product looked awesome. This changed my perspective of how you can make a painting look good.

  4. The dotting was cool because it was something different than just regulary painting, but mixing colors is so cool since there is an endless amount of color

It's something different from what we have done so far. BY mixing the colors and using q-tips it helps to bring the pictures to life.

  8. I like the dot painting because the details come together when you stand far off. It's really good to see the darks and lights come together to form a vivid picture!!

  9. Using the dot method has helped me see more of a range of values in the colours. I've really enjoyed seeing our painting come together and group together in value.
