  1. One of the most interesting things that I learned from the video was to how to ‘warm up’ your linoleum block: put it on the floor with a book on top of it and sit on it. The block is actually sandwiched between a book and a heating pad. I never thought of it that way! I thought you had to have expensive machinery. Another thing I did not know was that you can get really thin lines by going to the left of the drawing line and then going to the right of the drawing line.

  2. I thought it was cool how you can use a heating pad to "warm up" your block to make it easier to cut.

  3. I also thought that it was neat how she used a heating pad to make the board easier to cut on, i liked how for some of the more detailed parts she used both of her hands to guide the tool, for a more precise and detailed carving.

  4. I thought this video was very helpful for how to carve in your block. I liked the trick she used to heat up her block with a heating pad to make it easier to carve. I also liked that she showed you how to make a perfect 'v' shape with your blade if it was needed.

  5. This is a good teaching tool for cutting out blocks. The heating pad is a smart trick. And that whale looks like it took a while to carve.

  9. I liked how she showed us how to make the sharp edges. Also, like most people, I liked how she showed us the heating pad trick. She also never cut herself so that was cool.
