Ceramics - Blog 10 - Amphora Glaze

What is your plan for glazing your symmetrical amphora?  What color or combination of colors will you use?

    I think I'm going to do a peacock glaze on the inside and a peacock with crystals(I forgot the name of it) on the outside.

    I'm going to do Blue Azure on the inside and drip it on the outside on top of lustrous copper. -Mikayla Mobley

    I think I'm going to use either the blue glaze with the navy and green crystals on it or do black glaze with gold leaf on the rim.

    I wanted to draw figures like real Greek amphorae, but I don't see that happening, so I'll do dark on the bottom and light on top. -Paul

    I am thinking of painting gold leaf or something shiny on the inside and black iris on the outside.

    Since I haven't made mine yet, I am not sure but I am excited to make mine! I love the shape that I came up with and I really hope I will be able to stick to that design.
