I like drawing but I like painting more. I like how you are able to use and mix a lot of different combinations of colors with painting. I find drawing, especially with just pencils, more meticulous as you have to pay more close attention to shading and the little details. - Katlyn Smaha
i like the realistic pencil drawings, but i do enjoy realistic paintings better because i like the color. i also like painting because you can build on top of what you already have, with pencil, you have to be careful
I love realistic drawing and have learned how to do it better I feel like since taking this class, but I enjoy painting a little more because of all of the different colors and blending techniques you can use when painting!
drawing is fun, but not my favorite. I enjoy the painting and non objective work more than the realistic drawing. Color and texture make art super fun to me, and i think that both of those lack in the pencil drawings. Also really really really love clay.
I love drawing and I do not mind drawing realistically, but i do not like using charcoals. I like mixing painting and drawing together. I want to do water colors again!! ;)
I feel like a lot of times drawings come out more detailed and have more debt than painting a realistic painting. Of course you can make a painting realistic, but paintings tend to have more of a style to them while drawings are more real to life.
I love drawing but I also love painting. I feel like you have more control over a pencil than a brush. ALso you can do several different things with one pencil than you can only do with a solitary brush -Mackenzie Johnson
I like painting a lot more because I feel like you can be more expressive with all the colors in painting. I feel like when you're drawing everything is the same color and it all starts to blend together.
Drawing is not my favorite because it takes longer and is more detailed than painting. Also I don't like the graphite getting all over me and accidentally smearing out the drawing
