  1. I like how in these paintings the artists used different colors to shown the light and dark Ares of the face. Also I liked how thy used several patterns to show different things that appear on the face, like facial hair.

  10. I really like the first painting. I love all the colors in it while it still looks like a face. I kind of wish mine had all the colors like that in it now!

  11. the third painting is so cool to me. it almost looks like his skin is ripping off, but you can clearly still tell is is a human face and see the facial expression of focus. it is neat how the colors do not really matter, you can use sweet bright colors and still have a portrait.

  12. The first painting is my favorite because of the vibrant colors used and the different stroke patterns. Despite all of the colors, the face still looks very realistic!

  14. These painting are so intriguing. I love the colors that they use to truly express their feelings of the portraits. I've always thought the way that these artists use color to express portraits would be very difficult. But weirdly, it isn't as hard as I thought! I'm super excited to see how my portrait comes out.

  16. the first portrait is absolutely beautiful with the amount of colors the artist uses. They didn't use the colors to cover the canvas but they placed them beautifully. My favorite part of the painting is the subjects eyes they are so vivid and beautiful.
