Recreate your version of a master work. Assignments are below. Remember to cite the artist and work on the back of your sketch paper. Some of you are really developing beautiful sketchbooks.
Starting this week, I want to see less of the artist and more of your voice in your sketch. Use the artist's work as the starting point but add something of yourself to it. These should now move beyond mere copies of the master work. They should now be your own work with the master as the inspiration. Fill the page, fill the page, fill the page!!!!! Make sure to use strong lights and darks and don't shy away from aggressive marks. Use any material that you like.
