Your sketch assignments next semester will need to be only inspired by the assigned artist. They must be ORIGINAL to you. Look at several examples of the artist's work. Next, select an image for your content, apply that artist's style and complete it in WATERCOLOR in your sketchbook. You will need to use some of these in your Breadth section of your A.P. portfolio. Below are examples.

All Art Students - Extra Credit - Socks
You may earn extra credit if you want or need it! Macon Outreach serves the homeless population of downtown Macon. They need socks. You may bring in 2 new pair (or packs) of adult size socks that will keep feet warm during the winter months. Be generous! I will add 10 points to your blog grade for this. This will make up for a blog that you missed.

There is a blog assignment this week for Art One, Art Two and Ceramics.

Ceramics - Even More Teapots
If you have time, create cups to compliment your teapot.
Also, don't forget that everyone needs to complete their 2nd wheel thrown piece by December 13. The art room will not be open during midterms for you to do this. December 13 is the deadline to have it thrown, trimmed and signed and left to dry upside down in the clay room. This piece will be graded on merit not complettion.

Art Two - painting before 1850
The paintings below were created before 1850 (and before the wide use of the camera). What are your thoughts?
Art One - Picasso and van Gogh videos
Watch these two videos
Watch the following video about Picasso. Which painting is your favorite and which is your least favorite and why? Picasso was the founder of the Cubism art movement along with George Braque. Advances in art had been made by the Impressionists (Monet, Renior, Degas) and Post Impressionists (van Gogh, Seurat, Gauguin) to allow room for this new way of painting.
