Below are paintings by American landscape painters.
Albert Bierstadt (1830-1902) - most of his work depicts the western USA. These paintings are HUGE!!! He was born in Germany and later moved to New York. He joined several expeditions during the Westward Expansion.
Thomas Cole (1801-1848) was born in England but then moved to American. He is considered to be the founder of the Hudson River School which was influential during the mid 19th century. These paintings are large but not as large as the work of Bierstadt.
My favorite painting is first one because i love the water and the reflection. All the paintings are very realistic and have extreme detail witch makes it look even better because it took so much time and effort.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of art is the first one because of how realistic it is. You can see the depth in the painting and it is super cool how the artist did the reflection of the mountain on the water.

I really like the last painting. It is super realistic and the colors are nice to look at. Each painting is so detailed and it looks like a picture.
ReplyDeletei love how realistic all of the paintings look. The detail put into them is amazing, my favorite one is the third picture because it looks so much like real mountains
ReplyDeleteI love all of these paintings! They are all so beautiful and realistic.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite painting shown is the very first one by Albert Bierstadt! I love this painting because it doesn't looke like a painting, instead a photograph, because it is so realistic.

ReplyDeleteI like the one with the horse. The landscape and trees look very interesting.
ReplyDeleteAll these landscape painting look so realistic and i think that is from how they blind the colors together. My favorite is the last one!
ReplyDeletei really like all of these paintings! All of these artists use creative ways of showing perspective like how they paint the mountains in the background more of a grey color to make it seem like there is a fog in the back. I like the first artist the best
ReplyDeleteThese are all beautiful paintings, the way the background fades out of view in the first one is very impressive.
ReplyDeleteAll of these paintings are amazing, but my favorite one is the last one with the cliff and all the trees that show a lot of detail. The detail of the mountain range in the back is so good.

ReplyDeleteI like the second one with the rainbow because of all the little details with the people on the shore. I also like how you can see shadows on the tops of the mountains in the background.
ReplyDeleteI like the third one because it looks like the land is glowing and there is a vast distance shown in the painting.
