Watch the following video about Picasso. Which painting is your favorite and which is your least favorite and why? Picasso was the founder of the Cubism art movement along with George Braque. Advances in art had been made by the Impressionists (Monet, Renior, Degas) and Post Impressionists (van Gogh, Seurat, Gauguin) to allow room for this new way of painting.

I'm a fan of both artist but my favorite has always been Van Gogh because of his style of painting and i also like the painting above of his because of the flow of the brushes - Erin
ReplyDeleteI like the last one with the house because of the blending of the skies and the grass.
ReplyDeletethe one about the grass and sky is kaleb's
DeleteI like the second one because it's unusual and the house has a lot of character.

I like the second one because of the detail and I am not as much of a fan of abstract stiles
ReplyDeletestyles not stiles
DeleteI liked the first painting by Picasso because I think it is really cool that he created it when he was only 14. I did not care for the more cubic and shaped related ones later in the video. -Bryce
ReplyDeletei like the second one the best because of the detail and color of it especially in the grass- haley
ReplyDeletei like the house because it is very detailed.
ReplyDeleteIm not a huge fan of the abstract art because i like more structure and details so the second one would have to be my favorite. It was cool to see how many amazing paintings Picasso made when he was only 14, my age!

My favorite painting from Picasso was the really colorful one of the man and the women. It was very abstract and gave a really interesting perspective to the scene. My least favorite was his sculptures. They were very abstract, and I prefer more realistic sculptures.
ReplyDeleteI like all of the more "Cubism" art pieces because they are so complex and modern. They can really tell any story you want them to. Most of the paintings he made when he was young were realistic, so I thought it was cool how he completely changed. I did not dislike any of the paintings because they're all so different.

My favorite was the second one because of the colors he used and the detail he included in the painting. I didn't really like his more abstract pieces.
ReplyDeletei like the first photo because its different and very colorful. The second one is more like every other painting. - carson
ReplyDeletei like the second photo the most because it's unique in its own way. the building is a little wonky and not perfect. i like the second but not as much because it does not have as much texture as the second one

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed more of the abstract painting because it seemed more something I could create. I didn't enjoy the sculptures or the realistic paintings that much but I liked that he started as a artist so young, even at 14 he was very talented.
ReplyDeletei liked the more "cubanism" paintings because they were more colorful and had more going on in the paintings. i didn't like the painting that he made when he was working on photography. they weren't as colorful and beautiful as his other paintings. - bella
ReplyDeletei liked the picasso video because of his unique background, it is amazing that he painted the barefoot girl when he was only 14 years old. the van gogh video had some nice paintings but it was boring and it didnt give any facts about the painter. -griffin
ReplyDeleteI like the barefoot girl painting because he painted it when he was 14 and it was very good. Van gough had a more artistic view point during his years as an artist. - carson
ReplyDeleteI think that the Barefoot Girl was one of his best. This is because he painted it when he was very young, but it was so realistic. He was VERY talented.

My favorite painting by Picasso is the first one shown called "The Barefoot Girl" I like it the most because I think it is so interesting that he created it when he was only 14 years old! My least favorite are ones that have the sideways faces and distorted views. I do not care for the more abstract paintings created between 1936-1950. -Bryce
ReplyDeleteMy favorite painting is the second one because it is very unique and i like the designs in the house. Also, it looks really cool. -Reese
ReplyDeleteMy favorite painting is the barefoot girl by Picasso that was shown in the video because it looks so realistic and how he did that at just the age of 14 is amazing- tripp Martin
ReplyDeletei really like the abstract paintings that are shown in the videos.... they are super cool and colorful and you can tell that they are done by Picasso...
ReplyDeleteI like the second one the most. It has some very distinctive features which I really like in the house
ReplyDeleteMy favorite painting of Picasso's was the "Barefoot Girl" painting. I can't believe he did it when he was only 14 years old! It looks so real and it is impressive that he did it when he was so young. My least favorite paintings of his were his more abstract ones he did later.
