Below are works by Vincent van Gogh. He lived 1853-1890. He was only 37 when he died from a self inflicted gun shot wound. He grew up in Holland but moved to France as an adult. He only sold one painting in his lifetime but is one of the world's best known painters. (This is not always the case. Monet, Picasso and Matisse were all famous in their lifetimes.)
I like the third one because of all the details, bright colors, and the distinct brush strokes.
ReplyDeletei like the second one because that kinda what we are about to do in class and it is pretty.
ReplyDeleteI like the third painting the best because of the cute style of light being reflected on the water—it's not 100% realistic, but you know it's the light being reflected. Also I love the brush strokes.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is my favorite because of the brush strokes and there is movement in the painting and it looks as if wind is being blown through the picture.
ReplyDeleteThe second painting is my favorite because you can actually see the movement in the sky, trees, and grass.
ReplyDeleteI like the last painting because it is very soothing to look at and, I like the way he did his brush strokes in the painting.
