Watch the following video about Picasso. Which painting is your favorite and which is your least favorite and why? Picasso was the founder of the Cubism art movement along with George Braque. Advances in art had been made by the Impressionists (Monet, Renior, Degas) and Post Impressionists (van Gogh, Seurat, Gauguin) to allow room for this new way of painting.

ReplyDeleteI like the first one the best, it was very interesting.
ReplyDeletei like the second one because it used a lot of details.I did not like the sculpture because it is creepy.
ReplyDeletei like the second one because it is more realistic
ReplyDeleteI like the second one because it was very detailed. The sculptures were very weird.
ReplyDeleteI liked the second one better because it was a more realistic painting that i could see the meaning in
ReplyDeleteI do not like the first one, its very strange and abnormal ways of painting people, it looks like a mess, i like the second one because it is more real looking
ReplyDeleteI liked "The Barefoot Girl" the most because it's more realistic, and I like realistic art more than cubism. I didn't personally like any other picture because I'm not exactly in love with cubism.
ReplyDeleteThe reason I love Picasso so much is because he was never afraid to do the unexplored in art. He would distort the figure just for the heck of it, and it's admirable in a way. He wasn't afraid to do as he pleased when it came to art, and I aspire to be like that some day. His realistic art isn't necessarily my favorite because it just looks like another painting, and while it is good, I prefer his odder paintings more, because when you look at them, it's unmistakably him, it's unmistakably Picasso.
ReplyDeleteI like the Barefoot Girl because she looks so real and he put in a lot of detail in her. It's very impressive that he did a drawing like that at such a young age. I didn't really like the sculptures some of them just looked weird and were made in different forms.
ReplyDeleteBlake Jones
I like the second one because of how it is so detailed and varied colors. I didn't like the sculptures in the first one because they looked really weird.
ReplyDeletethe Barefoot Girl was the best to me because he painted that when he was only 14. My least favorite were the scultures because he over exaggerated their forms.
ReplyDeleteI like the second one because of how detailed the paintings are, the sculptures in the first one are weird.
ReplyDeleteI liked the first one for the information given, but the second because it showcased all his work, and i liked the music behind the video.
