I think perspective is very important with a painting because it adds depth to the painting and makes it look more realistic.

ReplyDeleteperspective is completely necessary for almost anything other than impressionist art. I think that the creativity of each of these paintings is in their use of perspective for not only basic geometry, but using it dynamically for different subjects in the paintings.

ReplyDeleteThe two point perspective in Edward Hopper's painting of the lighthouse specifically stuck out to me because it looks so similar to the basic two point perspective sketches we have been working on in class.
