I think the prints that look like actual things like the house with the sunflowers and the man look like the most successful ones because of the detail.
i think the ones with the houses and the house on the shore that have more intricate details where they have to fake the grey and have more contrast is the best. Along with the barrels which is really good too, to me.
All of these are very impressive and look good. You can definitely tell a difference in the pieces that used larger blade and the ones that used a variety of sizes, most noticible being the smaller blade. The ones that use smaller blades look like they have more colors than just black and white in them.
I would say that 2,3,4 were the best in my opinion. They were better than the others because of their use of a lot of blacks and whites and then also the use of grays through fine lines. Also, some of the objects in 2 and 3 look outlined. -Aurora Perez
I really like how clear and clean cut 2, 3, and 4 are. The fifth one is very intricate, which seems to give it a more realistic effect. It's really easy to differentiate which blade was used a majority of the time in each of these. Also, I understand more of what the gray areas are supposed to look like now. -Caroline Burns
the 3rd one is so good! it is so precise and you can see how much detail went into it, especially on the water. the 2nd on is also very good, it's really impressive how detailed it is especially the fact that the sunflowers are big and then get smaller as they go back.
I love all of these, they must've taken so long and I'm sure they cut themselves plenty of times. I like the ones with all the little details (the sunflower one is my favorite). It also looks better with less grey and more black and white. -Molly Smith
The second and the third are better in my opinion because they are very solid and the black and white contrast very well. The author obviously is very detailed in their work and patient enough to get it right. - Summer Sanders
The second and third print are my favorite because of the detail. It is amazing to me how artists can create perspective with their cuts. Detailed cuts makes a print successful. Also, you must have patience.
These block prints look way more complicated and time consuming than the ours. I like the one with the flower patch and the owl one, but some of them don't look at detailed as the others. I like the ones that are more detailed because they seem more realistic to me. -ashton
these blocks are really cool and super detailed. I like how the sunflowers are really detailed in one of them. The owl and the first one arent as detailed as the other ones, but they are still super good - emmie cate
You can tell a big difference in the ones that used a smaller blade and the ones that used larger blades. All of them look really good though -taylor greenhalgh

The successful ones are the ones with very clear separations between black and white and go in different directions. They have distinct borders.

ReplyDeleteYou can tell the difference between these by the dark spots, the sploshes and the articulation and accuracy of curves and shapes
