This image was incredible and I found it very interesting that the man worked hours and hours on a very detailed sand painting, just to wipe it away after. He really must have cared about getting a health and healing blessing.
The end product was extremely impressive. The time that it takes them to create that shows the dedication and the need for the blessing that the monks must have.
The end product shows how dedicated these monks are and how they can see the big picture from the beginning of their work. I admire their many hours of hard work and the finished product.
When the monks finished this piece, I was surprised at how detailed it was. To make the whole piece out of sand, and then to remove it all and put in a jar to throw into the river for health, just shows how committed the monks are. I really love the end of this piece, it was really pretty, and very elaborate.
The end product was amazing. They are very dedicated to their work and their beliefs. I was surprised that it was all in sand and how detailed it was in the amount of time if took them.
The end product of the sand art piece was incredible. In the beginning I never would have thought that the finish product would end up to be something so big and colorful with so many ornate details. - Ella Thomason
This mandala is absolutely amazing. It is a great example of how radial symmetry is used in other religions. Also, it teaches us that you must have dedication and perseverance to your religion and work.
The image is of the earth and since earth is contaminated and corrupt they present their god with a beautiful earth representation. When they just swipe it away i think it shows how they don't need material things and that it is just earthly. --Aurora Perez
This mandala piece by created the monks was very, very cool to me. It was neat how they used the sand to create the entire piece, and it kind of looked like a temple flipped multiple times and the colors they used were very pretty and elaborate. The symbolism in this piece was very neat with relating the sand to life and health and healing.
It was amazing how much detail they put into each tiny little part of it, but I find it weird that after all that work that just swept it away, but it was still beautiful! -Emmie Cate

This piece of art is incredible. To make something that intricate with sand is an amazing thing. I thought it was cool how they distributed it throughout the world by dumping remaining sand into a river.
This mandala is really gorgeous, I love how bright they made it and how much detail they put into it! I also think it's really cool how symbolic the whole process is to the monks. -Caroline Burns
I think that the mandala they created was gorgeous & i found it very interesting how during the closing ceremony, they swap the sand in order to symbolize the impermanence of life & then how the sand is distributed to the audience as blessings for personal health and healing. -Janie Beeland
Pretty amazing how they were bale to build something that intricate with so much detail, in only two weeks. I thought it would of taken longer.- Brandon Brown
