obviously they are gorgeous but I feel like symbolizes how even once your physical life ends a spiritual one begins. just because your time here on earth is done does not mean that you are without purpose. almost like reincarnation but not the same
I think its sad that they work so hard to make something so beautiful , only for it to be destroyed. It symbolizes life ,and in my own opinion that beauty cant and wont last.
This is so intriguing! I can't imagine what it must feel like to spend so much time on something then have it swept away. I don’t know any of the ancient symbols, but it would probably make the sand painting even more interesting if I did. I don’t think I'll even be using one of those chak-purs, but I'd like to see how one works. - Haley Harden
The Mandala is great! There are many buddhists in the west of China. They believe Mandala can give lucky to human.Because the Buddhism thinks the mandala as auspicious flower.

It's really amazing how beautiful and colorful these designs are and how long they take to complete. It's a shame how they destroy it in the end though. Will Barkley
They look awesome! It's very tedious work though that would require a lot of time and effort. The symbolism probably has to do with their culture. Megan I
I think it is hard to make the picture, it nend to spend a long time to finish. First, we need draw graph, second we need to add color to make it colorful. But the end product is wonderful!--Kevin Zhang
i think that it is amazing how they can make such intricate designs out of sand. and when they destroy it at the end, it is supposed to symbolize the impermanence of life. -Landon Newberry
I think it is very pretty and detailed, but I don't think it should be trashed after all of that hard work. It symbolizes that life does not last forever. -Laney Elliott
Wow these things take forever, I guess I can understand destroying half of it being for prayer. do you believe that there could be a Christian way of doing this?
