I liked it because I enjoyed them explaining influence of color in out life. I liked how they said the red carpet is red because I keeps people moving. I had no idea that color could have such an influence on our speed of movement.
ReplyDeleteI liked how they explained the impact that color has on our everyday lives because I have never thought about that. My favorite comment was "you can make somebody feel something with color", which is true. For example, blue calms you down and yellow tends to make you happy.
ReplyDeleteI liked the video because it showed us how we use color in our everyday life. The comment that stood out to me in the video was "when we see color we associate with our lives". - haley hines
ReplyDeleteI like the video because it was talking about how we associate color with certain things. The video says "we have a learned response to color" Some examples in the video are how as a kid brown we think of as dirt and as adults we thing coffee, and how we associate green with recycling" -bella buzzell
ReplyDeletei really enjoyed the video and it gave me a new perspective on the different colors around me. A comment that stood out to me was "we develop different types of associations that we share with other human beings and as we grow those become more meaningful to us", this comment really opened my eyes because of how different colors go into our daily lives and we just know what they mean to ourselves and others and it affects us, an example was how blue is calming and green we naturally associate with earth/recycle.

I thought the video was very fascinating because I've never really thought about how colors can truly affect your life in such a big way. The comment that stood out most to me was how brown used to be often associated with grossness and kind of "oldish" feelings but when coffee and espresso began to trend recently, brown has taken on a whole new association.

I liked the video it shows us how we view everything differently based on the color of it. My favorite line this isn't word for word but it was when the guy was saying that he lets his students make their own color wheel because everyone sees color in in their own way so they can have their own style.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video because it opened my mind to different ideas of colors. I find it interesting how some people cannot see the colors that other people might be able to see. I liked how the woman talked about how color can effect you physiologically like when you see red, it increases your heart rate which is something i never thought of.
ReplyDeletemy favorite part of the video is when the guy at the beginning says color is a soulful experience which is really cool to think about. especially when you think about the 60s and all of the psychedelic music and artwork from the time you see so much color because they wanted to touch your soul
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed people's perception on color. It reminds me of music and how they both could be considered a universal language and you express yourself through them. I liked when he said, "nowadays, I don't mind if you invent your own wheels with your own nuanced understandings of color because you're a different human than whoever came before you...", because I really feel like color is an expression and it is not just something like math which is right vs. wrong.

I really enjoyed how they described that colors are associated with feelings, which I find to be true because when I paint, the colors I choose reflect my emotions. I also loved how during the Great Depression, people made "depression glass," which was colored glass that made them feel better.

DeleteThe video was really good and cool. I really liked how the lady said that when we see color we start to associate it with different things in our lives and that is very true. She says that different colors can effect our everyday lives and when we see different colors we feel differently which is very true. - Reese
ReplyDeleteI liked the video because it showed us how we see colors. Also, it made me think about how we saw each color like how brown is supposedly a dirty color

I never thought about how colors can determine the mood of what someone thinks about a picture or paintings. Also i didn't know that when you see red it increases your heart rate.
ReplyDeleteI really liked when the video said "they needed something in their life to pick them up again". This is when the video was talking about the depression glass that people were making during the Great Depression. I thought it was so cool that these people were using color in the form of glass to bring back some of that happiness in their life during a time of great depression.
ReplyDeletei liked the video because we really do use colors everyday. Road signs and stop lights help us everyday. Its also interesting how colors affects our moods.

this video was cool to me when they were describing the science behind color preception in your eyes and how color can change your mood and feelings.

this video was super interesting because of the way it explained color. it made me realize that a lot of us dont even pay attention to color when sometimes it means a lot more than what first meets the eye.
