i liked the comment "color is a language we all know" this is true how no matter where youre from everyone can see beauty in colors and can see how different colors together can make for something beautiful
ReplyDeleteI liked how the video talked about how color was universal concept. You do not have to speak a certain language in order to understand color. I also liked how the video talked about color portraying a certain image, like dark blue being sad.The video mentioned how we see color through the rods and cones that are in the eye. We are talking about the eye in Psychology so I found that to be interesting that the two overlapped. -karsten herron

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed learning about the history of art over the past few decades and the comment on how adding something new to something we know creates a whole new style. ReplyDeleteThe coolest part about this video was when the narrator said that every person draws the color wheel a little different and this is okay because there are unlimited colors in the color spectrum and everyone sees color different. This reminds me of Jay Spivey because he is color blind and he for sure sees the colors differently.

One thing I found very interesting was the different ways how people interpret color. The universally interpreted colors like red and blue make sense, and I also have experience how culture can interpret the way people see color like how in some places white is associated with clean and pure things while in other places associated with death. I also liked the explanation of the change in trends throughout the years. Psychedelic to subdued tones was particularly interesting.
